Why I'm Running
I’m Dan and I’m running for change. For eight of the last ten years republicans have had trifecta power in Lansing, controlling both houses of the legislature and the Governor's office. What has this total control given us? Short changing our public schools, defunding local governments and having the worst roads in the country. Michiganders who can least afford it shoulder a disproportionate share of the tax burden and worker’s rights have been decimated. I believe we deserve better.
I envision building Michigan into a state where people not only want to come to visit and enjoy our beautiful beaches, world class wineries and breweries, but want to live. By creating a state where people want to move to, where schools and roads are adequately funded and worker’s rights are respected, we will also draw business to the State.
It is time to change from the top down, trickle down theory of the past ten years and focus on empowering the people. Lansing has been focused on deregulating business while over regulating schools and local government, giving tax breaks at the top while cutting services to everyone else.
If you believe, like I do, that it is time for a change, please support my campaign for change.
